Tiny
I’m currently serving as Chairman at Tiny, the company Andrew Wilkinson and I co-founded here in Victoria, British Columbia.
My work right now includes:
- guiding strategy across Tiny’s portfolio of 30+ businesses, including Letterboxd, AeroPress, and Dribbble
- supporting our leadership teams as they scale
- ensuring we continue buying great, profitable software businesses
The merger of Tiny and WeCommerce in early 2023 was a major milestone, and most days I’m still focused on strengthening the combined company.
Supporting Portfolio Companies
Tiny owns a diverse mix of companies.
Lately I’ve been spending more time with:
- Dribbble, helping shape its strategic direction
- We Work Remotely, as it continues to lead the global remote-work ecosystem
- several early-stage SaaS products that are growing faster than expected
I love helping founders solve real problems while keeping their businesses simple and sustainable.
Investing & Acquisitions
I’m still deeply involved in evaluating new acquisitions and refining our long-term playbook.
Finding great companies and giving them a permanent home is one of my favorite parts of the job.
Building New Ventures
Even though Tiny buys companies, I’ve never stopped building them.
I’m continuing to experiment with ideas in SaaS, digital services, and tools that support solopreneurs and creative professionals.
Yes, the entrepreneurial itch never really goes away!!
Life Outside Work
Victoria is home, and I make a point to take advantage of what the West Coast has to offer.
Outside of business, I’m focused on staying healthy, spending time with friends and family, and getting outdoors as much as possible.
